The opportunity

Zeal connects payments, loyalty and customer engagement. We are looking for a commercially minded Key Account Manager who can translate an enterprise customer’s goals into measurable results across our loyalty and branded-app experiences. You will own the account plan from handover and onboarding through adoption, renewal and expansion. Build trusted relationships with decision-makers and operators, coordinate product and delivery teams, and resolve difficult conversations without making promises we cannot keep. Success means customers use what they buy, understand the value, renew for the right reasons and expand profitably. You will keep a reliable view of account health, commercial commitments and next steps. We welcome strong operators from technology businesses, payments, loyalty, SaaS and consulting who can demonstrate hands-on client ownership. The role is based in Cairo; working arrangements and compensation will be discussed during the process.

Responsibilities & requirements

What Zeal offers

Ownership of meaningful enterprise relationships and measurable customer outcomes. Close collaboration with Zeal’s commercial, product and delivery teams. The opportunity to shape repeatable account-management practices in a growing technology business.

How we’ll get to know you

Share your experience, explore role-relevant questions and introduce yourself through Loom or an agreed alternative. After a team review, shortlisted applicants receive a practical challenge and meet the team. A human review of the evidence leads to our decision.

Explore the practical brief

Use fictional data only. Zeal supports a hypothetical multi-site retailer’s branded loyalty app. Annual contract value is £60,000, direct service cost is £24,000, 40 of 100 stores are active, loyalty identification is 12% against the customer’s 25% target, and a delayed POS integration has damaged trust. Renewal is approaching. The CFO asks for a 20% discount; the operations lead wants reliable rollout; marketing wants evidence of incremental repeat visits. Prepare an account recovery and expansion plan as an accessible HTML memo or presentation link. Include a stakeholder map, discovery questions, an adoption and escalation plan with owners and milestones, a customer business-review outline, a defensible renewal proposal, and a CRM account summary with risks and next actions. Calculate contribution before and after the requested discount using the supplied costs, then explain which missing costs could change your recommendation. Separate customer outcomes from usage metrics and propose how to test incremental impact. Write the email you would send to the disappointed customer and a short internal escalation. Record a Loom walkthrough explaining the hardest trade-off. Include any AI tools used, what they produced, and how you checked their work. Do not contact real customers or use confidential employer material. We assess judgement, commercial reasoning, clarity and follow-through; visual polish is secondary.

The work sample can be submitted in writing with an optional supporting link. Use synthetic data and avoid confidential employer material.
